In 2024, ATOS Syntel Prayas Foundation joined forces with AIFT to set up STEM labs, also known as Mini Science Centres, in 86 government schools. The project will be implemented in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, offering students hands-on experience in the four core disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at DE Science Centres.

In 2024, Avantor Performance Materials India Private Limited, in collaboration with AIFT, launched a transformative initiative in 54 government schools in Gurgaon, Haryana. The program aims to improve hygiene and sanitation standards, ensure access to safe drinking water, enhance safety measures, and raise awareness to promote the health and well-being of children. Reaching over 500 students and 200 teachers, the initiative aims at creating long term impact in schools and communities.

AIF’s Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST) Program, in partnership with Bank of America, is fostering co-learning and knowledge exchange to support self-development and career planning, with post-placement assistance for 3.5 years. The initiative offers volunteer training and mentorship by Bank of America employees in Full Stack Development, Data Analytics, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance (BFSI), and other emerging sectors. The program is dedicated to nurturing professional growth, enhancing workplace readiness, and facilitating cultural transitions for identified vulnerable groups.

Covestro India Private Limited, in collaboration with AIFT, is implementing the Digital Equalizer program in 25 schools across Uttar Pradesh. The initiative aims to enhance learning outcomes for around 4,500 students from Grades 6 to 10. By focusing on digital literacy, coding, 21st-century skills, life skills, computational thinking, and personal development, the project equips students with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to thrive in the future.

American India Foundation in Partnership with Dell Technologies is implementing a Future Workspace Skills project that aims to build workforce readiness in college-going girls and persons with disabilities. The Project, designed to catalyze a technology-enabled, inclusive, and adaptive skilling ecosystem, aims to sustain remote job creation, linking the targeted beneficiaries with aspirational jobs in technology, banking, and travel; facilitating their transition, and acclimatizing them to the newly acquired remote jobs through the innovative Remote Employment (REMO) Centers. The training curriculum, certified by the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and DELL Tech., offers an exclusive curriculum created by subject experts and industry mentors on subjects such as communication skills, life skills, corporate grooming and etiquette, MS Office, workplace readiness, resume writing, and interview preparedness through a cutting-edge technology enabled Learning Management System (LMS).

The Tejaswini Project aims to improve the socio-economic status of Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) between the age group 14-24 years in 17 selected districts of Jharkhand by creating an enabling environment within their community and thereby improving the completion of their market-driven skills training and secondary education. Implemented by the Department of Women, Child Development and Social Security (DWCDSS), Government of Jharkhand through Jharkhand Women Development Society (JWDS) with the support of the World Bank, the intervention involves Educational Service providers, Technical Service Providers, Community Service Providers, and other Service Providers and stakeholders to create an effective ecosystem. The project is being implemented in the East Singhbhum, Saraikela Kharsawan and Simdega districts. The first intervention of the project is at the community level, which largely focuses on mobilization and empowerment, the formation of community-based platforms for AGYW, imparting life skills education, localized business and livelihood skills training, and providing information on broader services and opportunities. The second is at the institution level which will focus on the delivery of skills training and education courses for AGYW through qualified service providers with competent and highly skilled key experts, hired under the project.

As part of this vision, the collaboration aims to create infrastructure for classrooms and practical lab setups for upcoming (PwDs) and youth.

While the overall objective of the program is to create a career pathway for 100,000 PwDs Pan India, over the ten years, the program is gradually achieving the scale, we will be creating career pathways for 8,000 persons in 3 years starting Dec 2021. To achieve this milestone, several small milestones will be set up to keep a check on project progress in the right direction. The E-marketplace will be made functional to bring job seekers and givers to a single platform. A minimum of 500 organizations which would include PSUs / corporates will be onboard to share relevant job openings. Organizations will be invited to bring awareness to PwDs’ job policies by the government.

Aimed at creating an independent cadre of trained caregivers, the Geriatric Care Aide project supported by Franklin Templeton is meeting the growing demands of the country’s healthcare system to bridge the gap between caregivers and the elderly population. Aimed at creating an independent cadre of trained caregivers, the Geriatric Care Aide project supported by Franklin Templeton has so far trained more than 240 youths from marginalized communities, providing them access to sustainable livelihoods. The project was also awarded the Gold Award for its outstanding performance in the Health Skilling Brand Category at the IHW awards 2020. Geriatric Care Aide is being implemented by AIF under its flagship Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST) Program that works to provide unemployed youth with comprehensive skills training to address India’s growing need for skilled manpower.

AIF in partnership with HDFC Bank Ltd is supporting 5 junior Colleges with Skilling courses training. The Skilling intervention begins by equipping 5 Junior colleges with 10 computer centers, providing a Computer laboratory to enhance student learning that reaches approximately 200 students across 5 Junior colleges. A well-rounded curriculum on Business Process Management, Graphics and print Design & Life Skills and English communication equips the beneficiaries with technical skills in Microsoft office- Word, Excel & Powerpoint.

Herbalife Nutrition is supporting LAMP in reaching tribal children and adolescent girls in rural, migration-prone areas of Pandariya and Bodla Block of Kabirdham – an aspirational district of Chhattisgarh, by addressing the learning needs of different groups of students for their successful transitions to secondary school and subsequent school completion. The partnership also creates a favorable environment by supplementing nutrition and life skills awareness to empower these vulnerable groups and collaborates with the local and state government to ensure sustainable impact in chosen geographies.

Digital Equalizer in partnership with Hexaware Technologies Limited is working with 33 schools in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. The initiative provides comprehensive teacher training to 175 teachers to integrate technology-based pedagogy and digital content in the teaching-learning process. The project is engaging 5,913 students through collaborative and project-based learning with hands-on exposure in advanced STEM projects like Coding and Space Technology including satellite, drone, and rocket technology.

HUL and AIF have been working in partnership since 2021 for Prabhat Poshan Sathi, covering 11 blocks in Sumerpur and Etah district of Uttar Pradesh, Chhindwara District of Madhya Pradesh, and Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. The program focuses on enhancing the nutritional status of adolescent girls, pregnant and lactating women, and under-five children. This partnership has benefitted more than 4 lakh people in 524 villages across these three states.

Digital Equalzier partnered with ICE Data Services in 2022 to empower students to make informed financial decisions now and in the future. Adding to their ability and agency to take control of their financial future, this project empowers them to design financial stability and hence build self-sufficiency. The project is supporting 6500 students in Grade 11-12 of 30 Junior Colleges in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana in understanding the importance of money, budgeting, and saving by setting up resource centres, organizing student workshops, and training teachers.

Project SAMEIP is a collaborative initiative of the SBI Foundation and Microsoft India to enable career pathways for underserved young Persons with Disabilities in the digitally transformed Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector in India. SAMEIP, is steered by AIF’s Livelihoods Program, along with TeamLease Skills University, v-shesh, and WinVinaya Foundation across Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. Through this initiative, the project would address the stigma associated with hiring people with disabilities and sensitize employers to leverage the talent of these individuals to become productive assets of society and trailblazers in their respective communities.

The STEMiquity Project, supported by Mobiquity Softech Pvt Ltd is fostering scientific temperament and future-ready skills among 6th to 8th-grade students in 10 government schools in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. From 2022-2024, the project is enabling 2,500 students and training 50 teachers by integrating technology-based pedagogy and digital content in the teaching-learning process. With focus on advanced STEM education, the project provides hands on exposure in space technology, aerodynamics, robotics, AI etc white providing career guidance, and mentoring support to create future innovators.

This initiative aims to empower 4,000 students with advanced STEM education.

Learning and Migration Program, Nandurbar Maharashtra, is supported by Sterlite Foundation since January 2020. The goal of the program is to adopt a life cycle approach, create a scalable and replicable model of continuity of education, in 100 schools across aspirational districts and advocate the model to other districts of the state. The objective of the program is to establish 10 digitized hub Learning Resource Centres in the community spaces to ensure that children at risk of migration have access to quality education, disproportionately disrupted by the pandemic. Since 2020, the program has benefited 11483 direct and indirect students, 59 education officials, teachers, HMs and Anganwadi workers, 595 PRIs, SMC, and community members.

Resurrecting the lives and livelihoods upended by the pandemic, AIF’s Sustainable Integrated Rural Development Project under the Livelihoods Program is focusing on the digital empowerment of women in remote rural areas, through a comprehensive, 5-module based Computer Course. Within 3-months, covering topics ranging from introduction to computers, internet research, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power-Point Presentations, the Project empowers candidates with no previous technical knowledge of computers, to handle complex tasks of data entry, data validation, report preparation, while also equipping them in financial literacy and communications skills. The Project, supported by the Tasty Bite Foundation and implemented under AIF’s flagship program Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST), aims to empower 500 women with dignified livelihoods over a period of 2 years.

TATA AIG is supporting LAMP to improve quality education through interventions in Ashram Schools, for the education of schedule tribe and schedule caste children, especially girls, in Nuapada district of Odisha from 2022. Working closely with the Department of Tribal Affairs, the intervention focuses on ensuring that children at risk of migration have access to quality education, which was disrupted by the pandemic, by making digitized Learning Resource Centres accessible in the community spaces.

The Tata Chemical Society for Rural Development (TCSRD), in partnership with has been at the forefront of ensuring continuity of education for children from seasonal migrant families, in high-migration prone geographies of Gujarat state.
Over the years, this partnership has worked towards improving access and quality of education and strengthening the school governance and effective implementation of the Right to Education (RTE) Act in more than 400 schools across 9 districts of Gujarat – namely Morbi, Surendranagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Kachchh, Mahisagar, the Dangs, Banaskantha, and Sabarkantha. Since 2012, the partnership has reached out to 60,155 children, 9504 School Management Committee members, 3480 PRI members, and 1,12,134 community members through various educational and school governance interventions.

The TATA Steel Foundation (TSF) has been supporting MASNI since its inception and is an implementing partner in the Kohan region of Jharkhand covering all 38 development blocks across the three districts of East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela. TSF provides human resource, finance, and program support in the field including joint advocacy with government functionaries on system strengthening. The TSF covers a population of approximately 4 million and reaches out to over 448,000 beneficiaries including pregnant and lactating women, children under-five, and adolescent girls in these five blocks and has provided training and handholding support to 2,399 ASHAs.

The intervention aims to improve the learning outcomes of students enrolled in 10 Govt elementary schools in Bengaluru South Dist., Karnataka. Telstra India Pvt Ltd, has been supporting LAMP in Karnataka since 2020, by implementing two Learning Resource Centres in Marathahalli and Varthuru cluster of Bengaluru South4 block. This 5 year partnership has so far impacted 5800 children, 82, Govt Teachers and 2053 SMC members and Parents.

Nand Ghars, a measure undertaken by Vedanta, together with the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), are the state-of-the-art Anganwadis, committed to the Prime Minister’s national vision of eradicating child malnutrition, providing education, healthcare and empowering women with skill development. AIF in partnership with the Vedanta Foundation is supporting the Nand Ghar project in 6 blocks of Dharwad district and 2 Blocks of Haveri districts working with 55 Nand Ghars in Karnataka, and 150 Nand Ghars in Bokaro district of Jharkhand. The project focuses on making Nand Ghars child-friendly and efficient learning centers, focusing on Education, Health, Nutrition, and convergence. The project also aims to provide round-the-clock electricity through Solar panels, e-learning in a stimulating environment, clean drinking water, and primary healthcare services. The 2 year partnership is designed to positively impact 4750 children and provide skill training to 1100 women in Karnataka.

Zscaler Softech India Private Limited is partnering with AIFT to enhance learning outcomes through the DE Way of Teaching and STEM activities in 16 government schools—11 in Bengaluru (Karnataka), 2 schools, and 1 SERT in Mohali (Punjab), and 2 in Panchkula (Haryana). This initiative aligns with Zscaler’s commitment to advancing education through a blended learning approach, integrating techno-pedagogy over 30 months starting from October 2023.
